Ep. 797 Edoardo Patrone | Wine, Food & Travel With Marc Millon

Podcasts, Wine, Food & Travel With Marc Millon

Episode 797 Marc Millon interviews Edoardo Patrone in this episode of Italian Food & Wine with Marc Millon on the Italian Wine Podcast.

About the winery:
“We are a family winery, located in the heart of the Lepontine Alps founded by Edoardo Patrone in 2016. Together with a team of enthusiastic young people who share a love for viticulture and oenology, we select the best grapes from the vineyards that grow on the slopes of the Ossola mountain and produce Nebbiolo wine locally called Prunent. Our wine-making concept is “Be natural”, which includes the use of natural fertilizer, no herbicides, and we reduce chemical use in the vineyard and the winery as much as possible.”
It all began with the cultivation of vines undertaken by great-grandfather Serafino during the early 1900s.
Our history continues with the production and marketing of bulk wine until 1986, the year during which we began bottling wines in our cantina, thereby covering all phases of winemaking from the production to the sale of bottles, thereby completing the supply chain.
The vineyards have always been managed and worked by our nuclear family: father Orazio, mother Loreta, and their sons, Stefano, Marco, Alberto and Mattia.
More specifically, Orazio and Alberto, together with a team of agronomists, supervise the agricultural activities, all done manually, from the management of the plants to the harvest; while Stefano and Marco, as oenologists, deal with the wine-making process of the company wine cellars.
