Lamberto Frescobaldi interviewed by Michelle Erland

Lamberto takes Michelle to his Nipozzano estate located in Florence. He shows her the Angus cattles that they are breeding. He shares about how the cattles are fed and taken cared of. He also talks about his family in the state of lockdown and how they keep their positivity in the period. Finally, he opens a bottle of Nipozzano Riserva 2016 coming from his estate.

Lamberto Frescobaldi represents the 13th generation of the renowned Tuscan winegrowing family. His passionate commitment to agriculture and led to his decision to dedicate himself totally to this centuries-old Tuscan tradition. Lamberto Frescobaldi was appointed as President of the Board of Directors of Marchesi Frescobaldi in June 2013. In the following year, he was awarded “Food and Beverage” E&Y Imprenditore dell’Anno, entrepreneur of the year. In 2016, The Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities designated him as member of the Board of Accademia Georgofili whose motto is to increase public welfare. In the same year, he was elected Vice President of Unione Italiana Vini , Federation of Italian Winegrowers. Lamberto is also an avid alpine skier and enjoys riding enduro motorcycles. He is married to Eleonora Nessi with three children and dedicates his free time with his family.

Michelle Erland is an Account Executive with Colangelo & Partners Public Relations in New York City and an Italian Wine Ambassador through the Vinitaly International Academy in Verona. From a hospitality background, her passion led her to wine and she completed an intensive sommelier program at the International Culinary Center (French Culinary Institute). In 2015, Michelle passed the Court of Master Certified Sommelier Exam. Throughout her wine studies, Italian wine always stood out as something she wanted to pursue. Michelle eventually joined Giovanni Rana Pastificio & Cucina as the Beverage Director and General Manager. This opportunity allowed her to follow her passion as she relocated to Verona, Italy. Michelle has had the fortune to teach pasta and wine classes in both Italy and London. The pursuit of education has always been a driving force in Michelle’s hunger for all things wine, food and hospitality
