Rebecca is the owner of Memphis’s only Southeastern Italian restaurant and wine bar. Together with her husband, Chef Jason Severs, she is recreating the regional cuisine of his family, renditions of antipasto, salads, meats and seafood, over 50 Italian cheeses, plus homemade pasta, bread, and desserts.
Nearly eighteen years ago, Rebecca and Jason Severs decided to open a restaurant in Memphis at the same time they decided to get married. After three years of planning and looking for the perfect location, their dream was finally realized. Jason’s family is from Capurso, Italy. It is a small town outside of Bari, which is the capital of Puglia, and that’s why they decide to preserve his family’s culinary roots.
