ITALIAN WINE PODCAST SMASHES 3 MILLON LISTENS AND CELEBRATES 1000 EPISODES

Monthly Highlight

As mentioned in last month’s newsletter, the Italian Wine Podcast has now topped 3 million listens. We’ve also now well and truly smashed through another significant milestone – 1000 episodes and counting! Of course, it’s not all about numbers, so we’re really proud of our award-winning high-quality content (see below)!

ON THE ROAD ONCE AGAIN

In the Spotlight

Once again, Stevie Kim has been On the Road, traveling all over Italy and interviewing some of the most interesting producers in the country for our sister channel Mamma Jumbo Shrimp on YouTube! She spent some time in Lugana, chatting with Fabio Zenato, she also visited the Cantina Tramin in Trentino Alto-Adige to hang out with Wolfgang Klotz…then she skipped down to Orvieto to spend some time at the Barberani winery… and there were so many more this month, Stevie was a busy lady! Remember, to watch all her adventures past and coming up, just head over to On the Road Edition, on the Mamma Jumbo Shrimp youtube channel

THIS MONTH’S TOP THREE PODS

  3. Ep. 985 Stevie Kim moderates Clubhouse’s Ambassadors Corner – In this episode Cedric Izri interviews Frank Cornilissen.

GETTING TO KNOW THE ITALIAN WINE PODCAST

Must Watch

Behind the scenes, our team has put together a short introductory video for anyone who still hasn’t heard of the Italian Wine Podcast (there are a few!). Take a peek at Getting to know the Italian Wine Podcast and let us know what you think. Don’t forget to LIKE and SUBSCRIBE!

FAST FOOD WITH PROFESSOR

Must Listen

Finally, we’ve been having a bit of fun in the office with Professor Attilio Scienza, taking him out his comfort zone and introducing him to the magical world of fast food. For this world-renowned wine academic, the ultimate challenge – what to pair with a Big Mac or a piece of Sashimi! Of course, there’s a serious point too – they discuss several important topics during their feasts, including the Professore’s newest book, Vine & Prejudice, coming soon. If you want to know what is discussed in this book, just head on over to the “Jumbo Shrimp Guide to Vine & Prejudice: Fake science and the search for the perfect grape” playlist, wherever you get your pods. It’s also now available in Kindle version

SUMMER IS HERE…AND SO ARE WE!

One Last Thing…

Since Italian Wine Podcast headquarters is located in Verona, Italy, the office is going along with a well-loved Italian August tradition; shutting down and going on vacation (honestly, this has been an Italian tradition since the time of Emperor Augustus) – So even though the office doors will be shut for the next couple weeks, you would never know we were not inside since everything will essentially be business as usual! So remember, to stay tuned this August wherever you get your pods!
