Welcome to Episode 1762 in which host McKenna Cassidy interviews Martina Centa of Cantina Roeno this week on The Next Generation where young Italian wine people 30 and under shake up the wine scene.
More about today’s winery:
Roeno is an acronym derived from "Ro," the name of its founder Rolando, and the Greek word "enos."
The viticultural company was established over 50 years ago by Rolando Fugatti and his wife Giuliana, who, with great dedication, began investing their love for the land in the Valdadige Trentino Veronese.
Today, the Roeno company is managed by their children Roberta, Cristina, and Giuseppe. In addition to overseeing vine cultivation and wine production, they are particularly attentive to wine tourism, combining the winery with a farmhouse and a welcoming inn where visitors can taste wines alongside traditional dishes from the Trentino and Verona regions.
The Roeno Agricultural Company, Inn, and Farmhouse are located on the border between the province of Verona and the province of Trento, at the foothills of Mount Baldo in the Belluno Veronese area, amidst the Terradeiforti. The vineyards stretch across the Adige Valley, reaching north into Trentino Alto Adige and toward Verona in the Bardolino region.
Love for their own land, hospitality, and respect for traditions are the values that characterize the Fugatti Family, always delighted to welcome visitors.
