The Italian Wine Podcast was an official media partner of TexSom 2024, one of the
leading wine events for wine professionals in the United States. Texas-based wine writer,
educator and consultant Jessica Dupuy will host a range of interviews with key industry
figures attending the event on behalf of the Italian Wine Podcast. The aim of the
partnership is to amplify and promote the educational and professional development
opportunities offered by TexSom. The event was held at the Irving Convention Centre, Dallas,
from 25 to 27 August, 2024.
Launched in 2005, as the Texas Sommelier Conference, TexSom is the go-to place to discuss
the evolution of the beverage industry, to network with tier beverage professionals from all
industries and to expand business opportunities. Interviews from TexSom will be featured in a special Italian Wine Podcast series entitled ‘TexSom 2024’. The series will include conversations with sommeliers, importers, producers, and industry leaders, exploring wine sector career paths, challenges and insights. It will also include discussions on current trends such as non-alcoholic options, alternative packaging, how to revive consumer interest in the wine market, health and wellness, and the state of hospitality today,showcasing the comprehensive education and hospitality TexSom offers to the sommelier community and trade.

The goals of the partnership are to highlight TexSom’s role in advancing the wine industry through
education and professional development, to reach a wider audience through cross-promotion of
the TexSom and Italian Wine Podcast brands, and to facilitate discussions on current and future
trends in the wine industry, with a focus on inclusivity, wellness, and hospitality.
