Planning a trip to Italy this summer?

This is the blog series for you!

Continuing with Napoli and Amalfi Coast, we’ve created this wine-friendly list of personal recommendations from the sommeliers, wine writers and wine professionals who know the region best – the Vinitaly International Academy community – a community of certified Italian Wine Ambassadors.

Positano, Amalfi Coast

Naples (Napoli) and the Amalfi Coast are located in the Campania region of southern Italy. Napoli sits on the Bay of Naples, while the Amalfi Coast is a stunning 34-mile stretch of coastline just south of the Sorrentine Peninsula, overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea. Wine lovers can explore Campania’s rare, indigenous grape varieties that are rarely found outside the region and dramatic coastal vineyards

So, here are our Top 10 Tips for Wine Lovers in Napoli and the Amalfi Coast this Summer:

1. “Incredible views” and “outstanding food” on the island of Capri

Le Grottelle is situated on the island of Capri in Via Arco Naturale. Carved into the limestone rocks, the restaurant offers incredible views of the Mediterranean Sea and the Arco Naturale, the spectacular limestone formation located on the island’s eastern coast. An authentic, well-curated Italian wine list alongside great house carafes. Pair a locally sourced Campania wine with farm-fresh island staples like Ravioli Capresi and eggplant parmigiana.
