On The Road Special Editions, Podcasts

Welcome to episode 734, another on the Road Edition With Stevie Kim, today she is talking with Alessandro Condurro, owner of L’Antica Pizzeria da Michele, in Naples, Italy. Join Stevie as she desperately seeks the best Pizza around!

About today’s guest:
Alessandro Condurro is the owner of L’Antica Pizzeria da Michele.
The art of pizza-making has been handed down from father to son for generations.
Founder Michele opened the first pizzeria in 1906 where the new building of the Ascalesi hospital stands, whose construction forced Michele to change location. In fact, in 1930, the pizzeria was moved to the current location in Via Cesare Sersale, defined by many experts and journalists as “the sacred temple of pizza”
Since then, five generations of master pizza makers, headed by the two administrators Antonio Condurro and Michele Condurro, son and grandson of the progenitor Michele, have continued the founder’s activity respecting tradition and keeping faith with the indications of Michele, who wanted the pizza. Neapolitan only in the flavors “Marinara” and “Margherita” without the addition of “Papocchie”, which alter the taste and authenticity which are known and appreciated all over the world.
The pizza place featured in the film Eat, Pray, Love staring Julia Robert keeps its authenticity by only making pizza in the two traditional ways: ‘Margherita’ and ‘Marinara’.
